So the month of May has been a busy one for the Turok family. Mike and I went on a 7 day cruise to the Western Carribean. It was absolutey wonderful!! We left the Port of Miami on May 11th and returned back to Miami May 18th. We got to visit 4 ports of call. We went to Grand Cayman Island, Roatan Island, Honduras, Belize City, Belize, and Cozumel, Mexico. We had a lot of fun and are already planning our next cruise.
We have been so blessed this past month. Not only were we able to go on our cruise, but the morning that we were leaving for the cruise, we were just checking out of the hotel when our Realtor called to say that someone had made an offer on our home. Needless to say, we SOLD OUR HOUSE!!! YAY!! Our Realtor faxed the contract to the hotel where we signed the papers and faxed it back to her and then off we were to our cruise boat. Oh what a lovely day that was.
After returning back to Miami, on Monday the 19th, Mike had an interview with Wolford College in Naples, Florida for Nurse Anesthetist school....he found out that day that he was accepted!! YAY..but that is not all. The week before we left on our cruise, Mike had an interview at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee.
On our way back home from Florida the night of the 19th, Mike received a phone call from the Dean of the school at Union University to tell him that he had been accepted to the program!! Life is looking good for the Turok family.
Mike decided on going to Tennessee for Union has more to offer with their program. It is also much CHEAPER to live in Tennessee, and best of all...we wont have to deal with hurricanes there. So as of December this year, we will be moving from our precious Charleston to Jackson, Tennessee where Mike will start his program January 2009.
Because we have sold our house, we are having to move into an apartment for the next 6 months. We found a place in West Ashley which really works for us, b/c of gas and its RIDICULOUS prices, by moving to West Ashley we will be much closer to both Mike and I's works and so we wont have to travel as far. We have been so blessed this past month with all that has been happening. Everything just seems to be falling into place for us. We really have seen the power of prayer and the many blessings that come with it.
As you can see we are all doing very good. I am still absolutely loving my job at the airport. Addie is now 8 1/2 months old, has 2 bottom teeth and the top ones are starting to come in...and she is now scooting herself all over the ground...it is just a matter of days before she starts crawling..>AHHHHHHHH I can barely handle the rolling and scooting part!! But she is such a joy to have around!! Hope all is well with everyone and I will have updated pictures soon...
