Memphis Zoo

So this pas week has been a fun and crazy one...and the fun is still not over for us. This past Tuesday we were able to travel to the Memphis to go to the zoo there...it was pretty awesome. Addison absolutely LOVED it and thank heavens she behaved very well! We took many pictures and had a fun filled day.

Yesterday (Wednesday), we went back to Memphis with some friends of ours, the Bowens from our ward, we went to a big ole' museum called the Pink Palace. Every summer supposedly, this museum gives out free family passes to the museum trying to get people to buy a membership...so we jumped right on that bandwagon and got the free pass for the summer....I dont think we will be buying a membership, but we are glad we got to go and are glad it was FREE! I will post some pictures later...for whatever reason the computer and the file the pictures are in are being retarded so you will just have to wait.

Our fun continues until tonight when we are going to the West Tennessee DiamondJaxx Baseball game, and then tomorrow we are heading up to Paducah, Kentucky to pay another visit to Mike's grandad. So much for Mike's week to rest on his week's vacation from school...but we have been able to do some fun things as a family and are so glad Mike has had this time to play with me and Addison....well enjoy the pictures from the zoo!!

She loved the giraffes!

Polar Bear

Ok, I hate this picture but Addie is cute in it...my face is really not that fat (trust me) I was doing an elephant sound for Addison....

Addie rubbing the Buddha

She really thought the fish were cool at the aquarium

These little penguins were so fun to watch...they all were swimming around their pool

Looks like Ya'll had fun! And Linsee i expect to you to preform your animal sounds at the next family talent show you are able to attend, especially the elephant. As a side tidbit. The braid on a Chinese man was a sign of honor and respect for his culture. If the braid was cut by someone else, it was an act of humiliation. If it was cut by the man himself, it was a symbol that he was rejecting the old ways of his culture and embracing something new or different. Oh the things you pick up when you live where there is a large Chinese population,
