Back Home To Tennessee

So we made it back home to Tennesse this past Tuesday night from visiting home to the Carolinas. We got to do lots of fun things while being there. Unfortuanately I had a "blonde" moment and left my camera battery and my dad's farm (aka hunting club/land). OOPS!! So I cant post any pictures until my parents make it back out to the farm and mail my battery back to me....ugh so mad about that!

Anyhow, we got to Charlotte late Friday the 14th. The next day, Saturday, we went out the farm all day shooting guns and riding the 4-wheelers. Sunday we went to church, and then that night we went and saw Mike's cousin, Heath and his wife and their 2 adorable kids.

Monday we made a day trip down to Charleston to see Mike's family. We spent most of the day with his mom and stepdad. We went to the South Carolina Aquarium where Addison had a BLAST! She was so much fun to take there...she loved all the sea-life she got to see. And again, another dumb moment for us, we left the camera at Mike's mom's house and so we didnt even get any pictures of the aquarium...GRRRRR. But then that night we went to Mike's dad's house where we had a little BBQ with his dad, stepmom, and then his brother and his wife with 2 of their kids came over...so that was fun to see all of them.

Tuesday we went shopping all day at the FABULOUS South Park Mall there in Charlotte and we got to have our awesome lunch at Cheesecake Factory (mmmmmm). Wednesday was more shopping at the Carolina Place mall. Thursday we went down into Columbia, SC where they have a pretty decent zoo. My mom, me, Mike, Addison, and the Russians all went and had a pretty good time. And then we got to go have lunch at Mellow Mushroom!! One of the best places to get pizza in South Carolina.

Friday we did some more shopping at South Park Mall, and then we all met my dad for lunch at P.F. Changs....Mmmm another awesome place to eat! Then that night was my brother Alex's first Varsity Football game where he started as a sophmore! GO ALEX!! He had some good hits and needless to say...his team KILLED the other team 36-6 (something like that). GO MAVERICKS!

Saturday was another day spent at the farm, and then that night Mike and I got to go on our 2nd date night........(sigh) LOVE having the parentals around to watch the little one so we are able to do that.

Sunday was just another day at church and a chill day for us.

Monday, Mike's cousin Heath brought his 2 kids over and we swam for a part of the day and we got to go have lunch at 5 GUYS (Burgers and Fries) MMMmmm the most amazing burgers and fries might I add. I think that was like our 4th or 5th time going there that week!

Finally here comes Tuesday, back to some reality for the Turok's. We left Charlotte and headed home for Tennessee. Not without making a couple of stops of course to the Pro-Bass Shop in Knoxville, TN and then of course the CarMax in Nashville to test drive some cars as we are doing our research on some SUVs for a hopeful near future purchase.

All in all we had an awesome trip and cant wait to visit again. Once again, thanks mom and dad for your wonderful hospitality and DONT FORGET to send my camera batter back PLEASE!!!
