This past Wednesday (08.08.2012), Mike was put "on call" for work. So we decided to take advantage of his "sort of" day off---until they made him go in at 4:30pm that day. Anyways, we decided to head on up to Lake Ontario to check out one of the beaches there is to enjoy. We decided to pick Hamlin Beach b/c we have heard that it is cleaner and one of the more nicer beaches in the area. We went, and it did not disappoint. The sand wasnt the most cleanest/softest, but it was a beach, and the best that we are gonna get living in the upper part of New York state. We had a great time, the weather was perfect, and the girls seemed to really enjoy themselves, as they always do when there is water involved. We will definitely be returning. If you have never been to the Great Lakes, well, they are named "Great Lakes" for a reason....they are HUGE. It seriously is like being on the ocean, just with no waves, and no sharks. I personally loved it. It was a little taste of Home Sweet Home, South Carolina.
