That evening, once Mike got home from work, we headed for Uno Chicago Grill to start the Birthday Celebration. Uno Chicago Grill was the restaurant that we stopped at on the way from the hospital with Rhett to eat. So we thought that it would be most appropriate to take him there for his birthday. They were awesome, they got Rhett his very own birthday balloon and at the end, they brought him out an Ice Cream Sundae complete with chocolate sauce and a cherry.

After returning home from the restaurant, we decided to let Rhett open up his Birthday gifts...with a little help from his sisters of course!

Our friends, The Chandlers graciously came over and made cupcakes for Rhett's Birthday. Once they got there, it was time for cake. And boy did Rhett enjoy this part. He would have eat the entire cake himself, if we would have let him.
And of course, the clean up part.....yay
I would like to think that our boy had a wonderful birthday. Thank you for all the calls and Birthday wishes for him. It is still very much surreal to me that he is ONE YEAR OLD!! Time has gone by way to fast with this baby...probably b/c he IS our baby. Happy Birthday, Rhett. We look forward to many more birthdays with you, little man.
We also had Rhett's 1 year checkup today..he ways 21.5 lbs and is 28.5 inches long. He is a growing boy, happy, and totally healthy! Yay!
