So a week ago today, Addison turned 3 years old. So far, 3 years has not been treating her very nicely. "Its been a rough start". It really has.
Incident #1: Last Wednesday morning, I was running on the treadmill in our bedroom. I dont know if I was in my "zone" or what...but somehow Addison managed to squeeze her little self between the treadmill and our bed to the back end of the treadmill...how I didnt see her?? I dont know! Anyhow, all of a sudden I heard her screaming, I turn around to the screams and Addison's hand was stuck underneath the treadmill! I immediately stopped the treadmill and got her hand out from underneath. The belt of the treadmill had tore the whole top layer of her skin off of her three middle fingers...yes, it was ugly. We got some anti-bacterial cream, got it on there and wrapped her little fingers up. I am proud to report that we are at almost a week later, and her little fingers are healing up nicely. They still look pretty ugly, but are healing.

Incident #2: About 2 hours after our treadmill mishap, we headed to Playgroup at the neighbor's house. We were all outside and the kids were playing on the their huge playtoy that they have...Addison was getting ready to go down the slide, when she was stung by a wasp right on the head...she came over to me holding her head, screaming...Yep, it had definitely stung her. Luckily it was a wasp, and not a bee, so there was no need to fish out the stinger.

Incident #3: Today, after coming home from Speech Therapy, Addison ran out from the car onto our front yard. I was in the process of taking Zoey into the house when Addison came to me screaming, once again. I put her on the counter and on her foot she had a bug bite of some kind, and it was red. After I got her to calm down, I walked outside to the area she was running around and I saw a swarm of fire ants everywhere. She must have thought their little hill was a pile of dirt, which Addie LOVES dirt. My assumption is that she was kicking through their hill thinking it was dirt, and the poor girl was wearing sandals. Yep, fire ants...hate them!

And that about sums up our life this past week. Like I said, the poor girl has had a pretty rough start to being 3 years old. I hope life can start treating her a little nicely from this point on.
