After my parents had left here from helping us get all settled into our new place...THANKS MOM AND DAD!!!! Mike luckily had a week before starting his new job at the Surgery Center...so we decided to take the kids to the different attractions around the city. Our first stop was the National Strong Museum of Play. And let me tell you, this place does NOT disappoint. It is flippin' awesome!!! So awesome that we became members here, so we can go whenever we want and in just 2 visits, I have already gotten my money's worth, so it was definitely worth it!
I know I have posted about this museum before since back in December when visiting Rochester we took the kiddos here. But you get to enjoy pictures of the place ONCE again! B/c I actually took the initiative of taking pictures so...there you have it!
The girls on Sesame Street
Our main grocery store here in New York is called Wegman's....so here is the Children's Sized Wegman's in the Museum. Addison doing some shopping inside...
Checking out....its really cute, every item has a barcode on it, and it literally tallies up everything and even prints out a receipt for the kids to take with them. (I am sure other Children's Museums do the same thing, but I have never seen it so I thought it was pretty cool)
The girls playing some Computer Games
I had to go with the girls since Zoey wanted to the ride the train and b/c she was under the age of 3, she had to be accompanied by an adult... I BARELY fit in that darn thing....Addison just HAD to sit inside of the engine....Lets just say I had a "i felt skinny" moment being able to actually fit inside this part of the train.
And of course the train ride wasnt enough, we had to go on the Merry-Go-Round as well. But since we got a membership to the place, we got to ride the Carousel for FREE.
The girls got to make some Princess Hats during their visit...so here they are in all their glory...
Arent they so cute?? I sure think so! I love my little Princesses
Zoey's crown was a little big for her head...
And that concludes our visit to the Children's Museum, which brings us to our Zoo visit. Now I dont want to sound ungrateful when I say that Rochester's Zoo sort of stunk. But I am coming from the Memphis Zoo which is HUGE and voted one of America's best zoos. I am grateful that Rochester actually HAS a zoo, and they are expanding it at the moment....but I do have to say that it is definitely NOT good enough for me to pay to get a membership there. Luckily our Memphis Zoo Membership is still good until the end of the month, and b/c we were members of Memphis, we got half off into this zoo.
Anyways, the girls had a good time. I only got a few pictures b.c honestly, there wasnt much to take pictures of. But here are the few good ones I did take...
Addison being a butterfly
Addie in front of the Polar Bear
Zoey checking out the tortoise
And there you have it. As previously mentioned before, we are loving it here in Rochester. There has been so much for us to do here that we cant keep up!!
