NEW YORK!!

Start spreading the news.....I'm leaving today! (da da da da da)
I want to be a part of it.....New York, New York!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so we are not exactly in the city, but we are close enough to it. (sigh) dont you just love some Sinatra!! I do. Anyways, life in New York has been fabulous thus far. We are going on 2 1/2 weeks of being here and we absolutely LOVE IT!! The weather has been absolutely amazing! People here have been complaining how hot it has been and Mike and I just sit back and laugh. I am enjoying the bragging about how my hair stays in the same position. I feel like I am actually getting my money's worth in my hairspray b/c it is actually WORKING!! Living in the South for so long, I questioned myself every single day as to why I wasted my money on hairspray b/c it doesnt do a darn thing. But here, it does! And its an amazing feeling!

Our move here went so smoothly!! Everything arrived here on time and all of it came in one piece! And we are even adapting to life in a townhome. Going from a 3 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom townhome is quite the transition, but so far we are handling it pretty well....except for the fact that we are paying MORE in rent for this 2 bedroom place vs our 3 bedroom HOUSE. Its kind of sad to think about it, but we try not to.

Rochester is full of great people and lots of fun things to do. I came up here thinking people would have the "New Yorker" type of attitude which can be NOT so friendly at times....but we have found the complete opposite up here. People have been nothing but nice and welcoming to us. Our new church is great and we are anxious to get to know some more people and hopefully make some new friends. We are blessed to live in this part of the country where there are so many Church History sites near us. We are 20 minutes from Palmyra, New York where we have a temple, our stake center, and all the church history sites. We have never been so close to a temple....in the past we have had to travel about an hour and half or more to get to a temple...so we feel so blessed to have one this close.

Michael also started his job as a Nurse Anesthetist at the Surgery Center and is loving it so far. He has yet to kill anybody...so far all his patients have woken up! HA! No, really, he is awesome at what he does and I dont ever have to worry about him.

I finally was able to find a new OBGYN and I am going in there in a week. Its been almost 2 months since I have seen a doctor so I am very excited to get in there and make sure our little "Randall Wayne" is doing ok. ****Randall Wayne is NOT going to be his name, its a running joke in the family and so for right now, that it what we refer to "him" as--just go with it**** I assume he is still in there and doing alright since I am FINALLY feeling him move. I am just about 21 weeks and going strong. I have felt pretty good throughout this pregnancy with the exception of soreness and fatigue. Thankfully no nausea....

Well I have some pictures to post of some things we have been doing around the area, but they will have to wait a bit. We are trying to be cheap and have yet to get internet. Both Mike and I get internet via our phones and so thats what we will be using at the house for the next little while. B/c of that, it takes FOREVER to load up pictures, so I will have to head to Barnes and Noble or McDonalds where there is Free Wi-Fi to do pictures....SHEESH you think you are poor in school?? They dont really prepare you for the real world...here we are making awesome money, finally have an income, and life it is just going to be GREAT and you are going to have all this money to do things, right!!?? WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think we are more poor now than we were in school...its kind of sad really. Anyways, we are just grateful that we were able to find a job and in a place that we love. So you will have to wait for some pictures...sorry. Anyways, until next time!!!
