1 Week and Still Surviving...

Little man was born 1 week from yesterday. Holy Moly this week has flown by!! Thank goodness Nana Sally has been in town to help. THANK YOU MOM!! Please dont leave!!??!!

The transition from 2 kids to 3 really hasnt been too bad....of course I havent been alone with them, yet, either. I will let you know if my feelings on that change by Monday when I will have to handle all 3 of them by myself. Yep, Nana leaves on Saturday (insert sad face here).

Rhett has been an absolute dream baby. Sleeping from 3 - 4 hours at a time...and the other night we made it to 5 HOURS! Go Rhett, GO!! He thankfully has been eating like a champ, b/c his first few days of life he wasnt eating so much. He was born at 7 lbs 11oz, we left the hospital with him down to 7 lbs 1 oz. I had to take him into the doctor on a Saturday to get his weight to see if he was gaining more, and he had went down again to 6 lbs 15oz. But luckily by that Monday, he was back up to 7 lbs 4 oz. Is that a enough numbers for ya??? It is for me! Lets just go with that he is now where he is supposed to be as far as eating and weight.

His big sisters have been loving him to death. They have been so good with him being home. They are always loving and kissing up on him. This first week really has been great. My recovery has been pretty much a breeze..my easiest recovery from a csection yet! Thank goodness for percocet and ibuprofen! :) no worries, I havent taken any since Tuesday--so NO I am not addicted. I even made it to all 3 hours of church this past Sunday...YES, I was just released from the hospital on Friday, and YES, I am staying for all of church. I figured that if I was able to go to the mall that Saturday and shop, that I could go sit at church for the 3 hours. I personally liked all the attention I got from people--it was funny to see the shock on peoples faces seeing that I was already at church...come on peoples, like it is that hard to SIT through church. Anyways....while at church that day, I received a "new mommy" gift from the Bishopric---a new church calling!! Lets just say they felt pretty bad after soon finding out I was 4 days in from having a baby. Oh well, its a good calling so I will forgive them. I was feeling pretty good that day so I accepted the calling.

We have loved being a family of 5 and feel that our family is complete. We love our little Rhett and are so blessed to have him a part of our family. Heres to week 1 going smoothly!

Rhett's first bath...he wasnt a fan until I cuddled him up in his towel

He's such a stud!

We love you, little man!!

Lynsee! Look how cute your family is! How fun :) I'm SOOO glad that you are alive with a smile on your face after baby #3 because we have our baby #3 on the way and due in July. YAY! We are thrilled but a little nervous too! It's fun to stay up on your family. One day I'll be better at blogging like you :) Hope things continue to go so well!
