Addison's birthday this year was pretty low key. Because she got to have a big ole' party last year at a bounce house place, this year we decided to keep it easy. The morning of her birthday, she got to eat donuts for breakfast (one of her favorite foods). She received a bouquet of flowers and a birthday balloon. After eating breakfast, she got to open a few gifts, one including a new birthday outfit. After getting dressed we headed out and for her birthday, we got to go to BJ's (a Sam's Club type place), fun eh?? Dont worry, we made it up to her by taking her to her favorite place to eat---Mcdonalds (enter picture of mom gagging here). After stomaching McDonalds, we went home where Addison got to open up a few more birthday gifts and facetimed Nana and Grandpa Ladd. All Addison has wanted for her birthday is a Lego Friends Mansion....needless to say, she was ecstatic when she opened that present. That evening we had our friends the Griders and Rasmussens over for some cake and ice cream, where Addison and her friends got to finish out the evening with sparklers in the back yard.
Despite a very a laid back birthday, Addison said she had an awesome day. We are so grateful for this girl and to have her in our life. For anyone who knows Addison, the girl knows how to turn any situation into a fun one. She keeps us laughing and going everyday. She continues to be our sassy, diva-licious, bossy, yet caring little girl. As we always say...she is the "cajun on our chicken". We love you, Addison. Happy 6th Birthday!!
