This is Waterfront Park.
So every Sunday evening, Mike, me, and Addison all go on a walk downtown Charleston. We LOVE going downtown. It is one of the most fascinating cities, I think, EVER!! We are so blessed to live in such a beautiful and exciting city. We are really going to miss our Charleston when we move to Tennessee in December. Right now, we live about 5-10 minutes from these downtown Charleston. So I wanted to share the pictures of where we walk every Sunday evening. These are some our favorite sites in Charleston! I know there is a lot, but this is only just a few of the sites here are in Charleston! ENJOY!
The Pinapple Fountain. This park sits on the Charleston Harbor. This park is where Mike and I were engaged! Everybody say "ohhhhhhhhhh"
The end of the Battery.
Charleston Harbor
The Battery...all these homes are in the multi-millions!!
GORGEOUS!
One of the original Cobble Stone Streets in Charleston.
Pluff Mud!! MMmmmmm the sweet smell of home!
Every Sunday, you will see a lot of these men fishing off of the Battery.
Battery Park...where some of the first shots of the Civil War were. This park sits right on Charleston Harbor! LOVE IT!
Another view of the Battery...
A very PINK house! Very Charlestonian like..
There is a story behind this house...with it having its 2 different porches. 1 is rounded, and the other square. The short version is there was a couple, the wife wanted the porch 1 way, the husband wanted it the other...so they compromised by building both styles of porches so each could be happy! If only it were that easy.
The Ashley River side of Charleston.
Sunset in Charleston, South Carolina off of the battery.
The Pig Man's house. The owner and founder of Piggly Wiggly grocery stores in the south lives here in Charleston. And yes, he has stone pig statues on his front porch and in his yard! Lets just say, for whatever reason, he is obsessed with pigs!!
My future home, Mike just doesnt know it yet!
And at last...my favorite picture of them all!!! You know you are in the SOUTH when you are walking down the street and you find a piece of WEAVE on the sidewalk! HAHA no lie, we were walking along the sidewalk and this is what we found. You gotta love the south, and you gotta love black girl's weave!!!
**for those of you who dont know what weave is....you can google it!
