So, as you can see I have been a little slack getting our Christmas pictures up, not that we took very many. We had a pretty good Christmas...we headed back to the Carolinas.
Late on the 21st, we arrived in Charlotte. Spent the whole day on the 22nd in Charlotte with the parentals and the Russians (the bros). On the 23rd we made our way down to Charleston where we got to have lunch with a good friend of mine from high school. We also did a little shopping there in Charleston. On the 24th we spent the whole day with Mike's mom and step-dad....where Addison got to open her gift from "Grambones"....lets just say she was one happy girl!! See picture below and you will see why....
Christmas Eve night we made our way over to Mike's dad's house for a big Christmas Eve dinner with his side of the family. Always a good time, where we eat, and eat, talk and talk, and then open presents from one another.
Late that night after the party, we made the drive back to Charlotte. Christmas morning and day were pretty laid back. We woke up to tell my family good-bye b/c they were making their way to Utah for a snowboarding trip. We were staying behind in Carolina and headed out to my dad's property to spend the day and night with Mike's dad and step-mom. Mike and his dad went hunting that night and then again the next morning. Linda (step-mom), myself, and Addison stayed and hung out in the cabin all day watching movies, reading, and playing games. It was a nice, relaxing overnighter at my dad's "farm".
That Sunday, Mike and I originally planned to leave to go back to Tennessee...well Sunday morning came, we weren't packed, and had no desire to go home...we decided to stay until Tuesday. Tuesday came, we werent packed, again no desire to make the long drive back...we decided to stay until the end of the week. Even though my whole family was gone, Mike and I had the mansion to ourselves...it was awesome! We did some shopping, ate out at all of our favorite places, and used the luxuries of my parents home.
My parents got back early Friday morning, and so we got another day to hang with my family...Mike, my dad, and my brother Nic went hunting...if you want to read on more about their day at the "farm" please read the post below.....
Saturday came and we were forced to make our way back home to Tennessee...only b/c I had to teach the Relief Society lesson the next day and Mike had to get back to his clerk duties for the ward. It was a great trip and most of all, relaxing. Thanks mom and dad for letting us use the house for the week!!
