Sunday, July 4th: FIREWORKS
As previously posted, we blessed Zoey on the 4th of July...after her blessing, we all headed back to the Beach House where we cooked up some Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, ate some chips and goodies all day long. We were fortunate that both of Mike's parents were able to make it to the blessing and that they were able to come back with us to the Beach House to eat and hang out.
Later that night, every year...Isle of Palms, SC puts on a firework show for the 4th and shoots them off of the pier right over the ocean. It is by far my favorite firework show for the 4th. So as it got later, before the sun went down, we walked over the Beach and set up our chairs for the firework show. Well I made the HUGE mistake of not putting Addison into her bathing suit before heading to the Beach, well before we could even set up our chairs, Addison had dived into the ocean....go figure. She was having a blast though, so we let her swim a bit and then I had to run back to the Beach House to get a change of clothes for her.
It was an awesome 4th of July, and I am SO GLAD that Mike was able to fly in for the weekend to not only bless Zoey in our church, but to spend this awesome holiday with us.
