That Thursday afternoon, we arrived in Salt Lake City and headed for Brigham City to attend the viewing that night. Although funerals are never happy occasions, it was like a mini-Reunion for most of us. I was able to see cousins that I havent seen in years, finally meet a niece for the first time, along with many people whom I knew when I was a little...such as old friends, old neighbors, and even a Primary Teacher who I had when I was like 9 yrs old. The next morning was the funeral. It was a wonderful service dedicated to my Grandpa's life. You couldnt ask for a more perfect day, the sun was out and the weather was quite pleasant for it being February in Utah. Grandma Hall seemed to be doing well and seemed to be at peace with everything. I am so grateful for the knowledge that we have of the gospel. To know that we can see and be with our Grandfather again in Heaven one day is such a comforting feeling. Eternal Life is such an awesome thing to have :) Because of this knowledge, it almost made the weekend a happy occasion, full of laughs, smiles, and of course a few tears--both happy and sad. Although this trip was short and sweet...it was fun getting together with the family again. Big thanks to my dad for making it possible for me to even be able to attend Grandpa's funeral.
Lucy and Rhett --- just a few weeks a part in age
My dad rented this ugly car (aka pimp-mobile) Its hard to see it, but I had to get a picture of me driving it, seat all the way back, one arm on the steering wheel, jamming to some hip-hop.
a few of my brothers and cousins carrying Grandpa to his burial sight. Grandpa served some years in the army, so it was neat to see the dedication for that as well.
