Papa Is In Town

Papa (Mike's dad) came for a visit this weekend.  He had some business in NYC, and decided to give us a visit since being up this way North.  Papa got in late Friday night, so on Saturday we slept in as long as we could (which wasnt long), and then that afternoon we headed out to Brown's Berry Patch.  We spent a few hours here picking fresh apples right off the trees, along with fresh raspberries, right off the bush.  We wanted to share with Papa a true Western NY treat----Apple Cider Donuts and fresh Apple Cider.  Both which are dangerously good.  Despite a rainy start, we had a great day.  Fall is in the air here in New York, and we are loving it!

Although she wont eat the apples, Addie LOVES picking them off the trees.  Here she is getting a little help from daddy to reach the best apples

We have been wanting to put swings down in the basement for the girls to be able to swing on during the winter.  So after the berry patch, we put Papa and daddy to work.  Daddy and Papa built some really good looking swings and the girls are in "swing heaven".

We have loved having Papa around and are sad to see him go already.  Thanks Papa for the visit!
